Today I am feeling guilty. About what you as? I’ll tell you. It is a bit of a secret but since we are so close I will let you in on my shame.
I have an amazing piece of property, seven acres in fact, that I have labored over for years. I love it, but it’s lots of work. By this time last year I would have already chalked up dozens of hours of backbreaking work pulling weeds, edging and clearing out the damage that winter has done.
I have spent a total of “0” hours outside this year. So today, as the sun shone bright, I faintly heard the garden calling out to me. Where to begin – I think you know. WEEDING!
On went my Hunter boots.
And out to the pond. Don’t be afraid, it’s just our pet alligator who stands guard over the waters.
In the herb garden high winds this winter knocked my stone rooster right off his pedestal and his neck was broken. I am devastated. I will have to see if he can be repaired. Oh, my – try and look past the weeds.
I know what I will be doing this weekend, what about you? Whatever it is, have fun. I will be wrestling more with the yard and hope to have it all weeded by Sunday. If I post next week you know I’m still alive.
