This weekend was the Rue de Park French Flea Market on Kirkland. And to think I almost didn’t go.
There were some old familiar faces as well as a few new friends to make.
Glitter and Grace
My sweet friend Angela Jaeger had a small table set out in front of the store she works at, Paisley’s Cupboard. I thought these baroque porcelain dolls were to sweet.
Her box of “Junk” was a hit.
Melaine of My Sweet Savannah was there and put her special twist on decorating.
I love this frame decorated with tags made by Melaine herself.
She found wonderful old books and tore off the covers to expose the time worn pages and then topped them off with these tissue paper flowers.
These next photos are from a great mother and daughter team of artists. This was their first time doing a show or even selling anything they have made. Seriously, they don’t have a blog, ETSY site or even a name. I jokingly told them I was going to refer to them as the;
Phantom Booth
This is one of my favorite shots. I love the entire color palette in their booth and their whimsical style.
These champagne chairs were incredibly sweet and could be used as place card holders. I have been experimenting with champagne wire twisting lately myself so I really loved their“twist”on things.
These old melamine dishes were so perfect. Can’t you just see them spread out on a picnic blanket.
Just because.
CAKE
COUTURE VINTAGE.COM
(The website is under construction)
“Paris” the pug is Mela Mamallo’s booth partner and is not camera shy at all. She was quite sporty in her Juicy sweat suit.
Patricia Mackay of tippy stockton was there with her jewelry, bags and pretty little things.
Can I just say I LOVE these.
Julie Baker of Jules and Lisa Marie of Putting on the Glitz
Our wonderful sponsor Haileys Cottage.
My absolute favorite item at the show was this pale blue shabby chair. I tried to justify the purchase but even at the reasonable price I just couldn’t. Time to add on to the house or move.
The next big event is coming soon;
where our very own sweetie, Tiffany, of
The Fancy Farmgirl
will be teaching. Visit her blog for more details.
I hade such fun visiting with old friends and making new ones. I know I have been MIA this summer, truth is I was busy moving my son from the east coast to the west which I am thrilled about. My daughter went back to school and Tim continues to travel a majority of the time. I thought this “empty nest” thing was supposed to give me more time.
I am happy to be back blogging and creating. My new Halloween line is up and featured on my ETSY site and also at Common Folk in Bellevue. More info to follow soon – in the mean time keep creating…
Hugs,
Amada
