A couple of weeks ago Tim an I snuck away for the weekend. We didn’t tell many people – just our kids and Mickey.
We are Disneyland Fanatics! Each year we go 2 –3 times and we are always thrilled. My grown children still get that giddy, childlike grin when we first enter the park and start our journey down Main Street USA.
This year we were just in time for the Halloween decorations where they transform some of their most popular rides to play homage to Halloween. My favorite is the Haunted Mansion.
From the top of the chimney to the lowly graveyard ever square inch of the estate is now the primary residence to the endearing characters from
Nightmare Before Christmas.
Anyone need a ride?
Sarah gave it all the “thumbs Up”
Could those glasses be any bigger?
The lines weren’t long at all. I guess the end of September is a good time to visit the park. We had never done it at this time of year before but now that both of the kids are going to school in sunny SoCal we can.
Tim Jr. is so close to the park now that he is going to school at Chapman that we couldn’t resist getting him a season pass. He can literally drive there in 10 minutes.
I won’t bore you with all of our pictures but we did have an amazing time. Now that the kids are grown it is so hard to get us all together in one place for anything but the holidays. Be warned you mothers of tiny ones; we aren’t kidding when we say “time flies”. I can remember the first time we took Tim Jr. and Sarah to the park.
Here we are in 1994
And just look at us now in 2010!
Yes – it happened in a blink of an eye.
Much Love all. Tim and I are off to Maui for a week. I will return with a tan and pictures to share.
